John Kerry hits out at extremists as he hails Scotland's role in eco-fight

A CABAL of climate change deniers around the world have "declared war on facts and science" and threaten Earth's future, John Kerry declared yesterday.

During a fiery address in Edinburgh, the US special climate envoy warned "extremist" right-wing politicians and vested economic interests could halt progress needed to save the planet.

Kerry, a leading US Democrat in Joe Biden's administration, compared climate sceptics to a "cult" in denial of science and the evidence of mounting eco-disasters.
