KAREN Gillan has revealed she wants a permanent role on The Simpsons after guest starring as Groundskeeper Willie's love interest.
The actress, from Inverness, voiced the part of the school caretaker's Scottish girlfriend Maisie in the legendary animated series.
The episode last year called Ae Bonny Romance saw The Simpsons swap Springfield for Scotland after Willie returned to his homeland.
It ended with Maisie marrying Groundskeeper Willie at a ceremony in Edinburgh and Hollywood star Karen, 36, is hoping that could lead to a recurring role in the show which will allow her to use her own accent.
