Grady had moved jail after gang spat

AN ALLEGED prison victim of a vicious slasher is in serious condition in hospital. 

Matthew Grady is suspected of assaulting a 43-year-old man at Glenochil Prison, near Alloa, leaving the victim in a serious condition.

Prison officers quickly responded to the attack on December 22, which left the man with head injuries, and an investigation has been launched.

Grady was jailed in 2017 for a murder attempt on his ex , who he slashed from ear to mouth after she dumped him.

In 2022 he was given an extra 15 months on his sentence for a “napalm” scalding water attack on gangster John Hardie, a member of the Lyons crime gang in Glasgow, inside Shotts Prison.
