Prosecutor urges jury to convict man 'charged with sexually assaulting & killing his sister

JURORS were yesterday told teenager Amber Gibson was "appallingly" murdered by the brother she must have trusted.

Prosecutor Richard Goddard KC made the claim in his closing speech at the trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

Connor Gibson, 20, is charged with the sexual assault and murder of the 16-year-old in Cadzow Glen, Hamilton, in November 2021.

He is joined in the dock by 45-year-old Stephen Corrigan.

He is accused of discovering the body of Amber but instead of alerting emergency services, he is alleged to have inappropriately touched and concealed her body.
