Even Matthews isn't safe as tinkerman Franco rings the changes for Warriors

FRANCO SMITH is a hard man to please.

Glasgow beat the Dragons 73-33 in their Challenge Cup last-16 tie a week ago but the head coach has still made five changes for tonight's quarterfinal against the Lions.

And, just to show no ones place is safe, those dropped include hooker Johnny Matthews, who scored a clubrecord five tries in that game.

But with the Warriors fighting on two fronts in the URC and in Europe, Smith has always insisted he needs to keep rotating the starting line-up to get the best out of his squad. And so far in his first season at the helm, the results back him up.

Glasgow are already through to the URC play-offs and if they beat the South Africans at Scotstoun they'll be ina European semi-final for the first time in their history.
