The two-time king launched his Paddy Power World Championship hat-trick bid in style with a smooth win over Simon Whitlock.
Tennis ace Murray was in the crowd cheering on his countryman and Anderson was glad of the extra support as he attempts to lurk in the London shadows.
He said: "It's nice to meet Jamie. I've met his mum. He's flying off to Australia for the tennis on Boxing Day I think.
