With World Cup on the horizon, Blair declares: We're confident we can bat away anyone

BLAIR KINGHORN insists Scotland have the confidence to beat "anyone" as preparations continue to ramp up for the Rugby World Cup.

The Scots have been in Nice for some warm-weather training and to familiarise themselves with their base for this autumn's tournament in France.

Scotland have been drawn in the same pool as Grand Slam winners Ireland and reigning champions South Africa as well as a beefed-up Tonga.

That tough draw has ensured Gregor Townsend's side are up against it but they are leaving no stone unturned in their preparation work.
