PHILIPPE CLEMENT admits there will be no Rangers return for Abdallah Sima unless Brighton reduce their £7million asking price.
The Light Blues support who were yesterday given confirmation they will have to start the campaign watching their team at Hampden would love to see the Senegalese ace back in blue after last season's impressive loan spell. He was on course to challenge for Scotland's golden boot with 15 goals by January only to see his bid derailed by a serious injury sustained on African Cup of Nations duty.
The 23-year-old managed just one more strike after returning from his three-month lay off.
But both Clement and the player were keen to rekindle their partnership ahead of the new season.
But the Light Blues gaffer has now confessed a deal is unlikely unless his Brighton paymasters slash the transfer fee required to cut Sima loose from the final year of his Seagulls deal.
Clement said: "I've been in touch with him. He's like one of my sons.
"Abda loves the club.
