POP Queen Katy Perry has revealed the sexy tartan minidress she wore at T in the Park is one of the favourite outfits she has ever donned on stage.
The 39-year-old, who blew the crowds away when she performed at Balado back in 2009, says at the time she was worried donning tartan would be seen as cliché.
But the I Kissed A Girl singer, who has sold more than 143 million records worldwide, admits her fashion choice that day was one of her best decisions and she will treasure the dress forever.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Record Katy, who has a threeyear-old daughter with her actor fiancé Orlando Bloom, said: "I can remember before that performance I was like do I wear tartan - is wearing tartan while performing in Scotland a bit obvious and cliché?
"I am so glad I did though-there are some outfits over the years that I always link to certain parts of my career or performances - and that is one of them.
"I keep all my outfits that mean something to me - that tartan dress will still be in one of my storage units."
The Californian singer added: "I remember asking showbiz reporters at the time if I did wear my tartan dress should I wear underwear and what would happen if I put my foot up on a monitor?
"They persuaded me it would be fine and it was."
Katy, who is one of the bestselling artists of all time, says performing in front of 85,000 screaming fans at T in the Park was a career-defining moment and one she will never forget.
The mum of one, real name Katy Hudson, said: "Honestly I just remember the energy from the crowd that day-it was electric.
