WHEN James Vincent scored Inverness' last Hampden winner against Falkirk he was promised the keys to the city.
It never quite materialised although he joked Caley Thistle's Scottish Cup-winning team did get the keys to the majority of the Highland capital's pubs and nightclubs.
The midfielder was the super sub as he came off the bench to sink the Bairns and ensure Inverness lifted the famous old trophy for the first time in 2015.
Then chairman Kenny Cameron had promised they would get the freedom of the city after John Hughes' squad had created history.
Billy Dodds' team head to Hampden on Saturday to fight it out with Falkirk again but this time there is a place in the final at stake.
Vincent said: "The chairman Kenny had said to me he was going to get me the freedom of the city but it never happened.
"We did get the keys to a few nightclubs and pubs, though, so we took them instead. We had a great time off the back of the cup win. We didn't have to pay for a drink on nights out.
