SHOPPERS looking to cool off could struggle to find ice cream and cold drinks this summer after store owners warned high bills could force them to turn off fridges and freezers.
Independent retailers are at "breaking point" a month after the Government ended support to keep the price of their energy bills down, according to trade journal Retail Express.
The Energy Bill Relief Scheme, which gave them a discount on gas and electricity prices from last October, ended in March.
