THE widow of a biker killed after a driver pulled out of a junction in front of him has vowed to fight to make Scotland's roads safer in his memory.
Tracey Marsh is facing a bleak Christmas without husband of 15 years Jon, who died on the B961 near Monikie, Angus, in November last year.
The mum was left shellshocked when teacher Angela Addis, 45, was banned from driving for a year and given 140 hours of unpaid work this week after admitting causing his death by careless driving.
Now she wants the Scottish Government to act on soaring bike smash figures and implement hard-hitting awareness campaigns, while calling for harsher punishments for offending drivers.
Tracey said: "The sentence was absolutely gut-wrenching to watch. The one thing that's keeping me focused and able to carry on is the thought that if I can save one biker's life, it will be all worth it.
