CAMILA Cabello says she has been practising her Scottish accent and is confident she'll have it perfected ahead of her next gig in Scotland.

The Cuban-Mexican singer, who bought a kilt for her debut Scottish gig six years ago in Glasgow, had been due to return in 2020 but the tour was cancelled because of the Covid pandemic and no new dates have been announced.

But Camila, 27, loved the country and its people so much, she is planning a return and is determined to sound like one of us when she does.

In the exclusive interview with the Daily Record, the Latina superstar also revealed she has already picked out a pink tartan suit for the occasion and dreams of one day collaborating with Scots chart topper Calvin Harris.

Camila, whose new album C,XOXO is out on June 28, said: "I love Scotland. It's absolutely gorgeous and I love a Scottish accent. I don't have any Scottish ancestry but it is one of my favourite accents. I love it so much.

"My English accent, even if I say so myself, is on point - and I promised to perfect my Scottish accent and I think I am pretty much there.

"Believe it or not, I actually do spend time practising my favourite accents and next time I am back in Scotland, I actually think people are going to be pretty impressed with it."
