JIM GOODWIN has learned from his Premiership mistakes at Aberdeen and vowed there will be no repeat at Dundee United.
The Tannadice boss takes his side back into the top flight with Sunday’s derby clash their big return.
Goodwin’s last spell in the Premiership saw him sacked by Dons before he was unable to keep the Terrors up.
He did lead them to Championship glory at the first time of asking and is now looking for his side to make their mark in the top tier.
Goodwin said: “It’s where you want to be as a manager – the top division.
“Yes, you’ve got to learn from the disappointment of what happened at Aberdeen and try to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes again. I’m delighted with the progress we have made as a team. Getting straight back up out of the Championship is not an easy task and the expectation was on us.
