MIKEL ARTETA loved his Arsenal side winning "ugly" at North London rivals Tottenham.

And the Gunners boss claimed his team were "hungrier" to win after the midweek injury to captain Martin Odegaard.

The Spaniard suffered sleepless nights before the game with Declan Rice banned and Riccardo Calafiori injured on national duty.

But despite Tottenham enjoying 63.7 per cent possession and having more shots, Gabriel Magalhaes' header gave Arsenal the win - and bragging rights again.

It is the first time the Gunners have won three consecutive away North London derbies in the Premier League - and a huge boost before the start of the Champions League and Sunday's trip to Man City.

And ex-Rangers ace Arteta said: "This one was extremely special. We had good moments and others where we had to suffer. We have people that have thick skin.
