SIR Chris Hoy wants more chat about health between men as he bids to help up to 500,000 people check for prostate cancer.
The Olympic cycling hero, who is terminally ill with the disease, has already inspired almost 300,000 men to arrange a check online, according to charity Prostate Cancer UK.
Of those, more than 75 per cent of them had one or more of the three main risk factors of disease, including family history.
A tumour was found in Sir Chris's shoulder and a second scan found primary cancer in his prostate, which has metastasised to his bones.
He had first made public in February that he was undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy.
Sir Chris, 48, whose father and grandfather were both diagnosed with the illness, said of his outlook during his career: "I think you were very aware of your physical fitness.
