A MUM is desperate to find a home in Scotland after her property was destroyed by missiles in Ukraine.
Anastasia Oleinyk, 31, of Zaporizhzhia, fled her home country due to the ongoing war with Russia.
After arriving in Edinburgh, she hopes that she and her four-year-old son, Alexander, will find peace.
Anastasia has many friends in Scotland who have secured refuge and she hopes to be closer to them.
She said: "In recent years, we have been living in hope for the end of the war - we live in fear for our lives.
