Ross Kemp returns after 8 years as legendary Mitchell bro for EastEnders' 40th anniversary

OH BRUVVER! Grant Mitchell is returning to Albert Square and actor Ross Kemp promises the EastEnders hard man will be "back with a bang".

Ross who famously plays Phil Mitchell's brother - is returning for a short stint this month as part of the soap's highly-anticipated 40th anniversary celebrations.

He was last seen in Walford in 2016 for the exit of Dame Barbara Windsor, who played Grant and Phil's mum and Queen Vic matriarch Peggy.

Ross said: "I'm delighted.

EastEnders has always meant so much to me, so to return as the show is about to celebrate such a special anniversary is an absolute honour.

"Grant has never been far from the action and, let's just say, this time is no different as he certainly comes back with a bang."
