Rahm says emotional videos from loved ones fire up Donald's troops

JON RAHM claims tears in the team room are emotionally driving Europe’s Ryder Cup bid. 

And as well as motivational speeches and heartfelt videos, the Spaniard insists banished countryman Sergio Garcia is still playing a huge role in helping him gun down the United States.

Rahm and Shane Lowry last night opened up on the tugging of heart strings that have stirred Luke Donald’s troops in Rome.

The Irishman openly admitted to crying at some of the footage and words which have played out to Europe’s stars.

Donald gave a message to the team to make their own history but stated they wouldn’t be in Rome were it not for the backing and support of their loved ones.

Record Sport understands players were each given an ipad to watch individual messages from parents and family members on their own in their rooms before meeting up in the team room for an emotional viewing of a compilation of all 12 videos together.

A team insider said: “As Luke said himself, if his parents were still around, it would have meant so much to me to get a message like that from them.”

Both of skipper Donald’s parents are deceased.
