Leitch warning as corona returns – with 200 already hit by the virus

HEALTH chiefs have urged Covid sufferers to stay at home if they are unwell after admitting they were worried about a new corona surge.

Scotland’s national clinical director, Jason Leitch, advised those who qualify for vaccinations to get jags after the Daily Record highlighted a rise in cases.

Professor Leitch revealed that 200 people were admitted to hospitals in Scotland with the virus in the last week.

Last Saturday the Record told of a GP’s concerns that Scotland was on the brink of another Covid crisis, with testing of front line staff no longer happening and vaccinations slowing.
