A LARGE steelworks with 150 workers is "teetering on the edge", an MSP has warned amid calls to secure its future.
The Dalzell mill in Motherwell is one of just two plants left from Scotland's once mighty steel industry.
Willie Rennie, the Scottish Lib Dems economy spokesman, has now written to the UK Government to ask it to review operations at Dalzell amid fears it may soon close.
It follows recent warnings from insiders that the mill owned by industry conglomerate Liberty could be mothballed amid a reported slowdown in orders.
