Parkhead chiefs will today announce the return of the Northern Irishman as boss almost four-and-a-half years after his departure for Leicester City.
John Kennedy will stay on to be Rodgers' No.2 while backroom team. Gavin Strachan and Harry Kewell will also be given the chance to be part of the Rodgers revolution.
The 50-year-old will make good his previous promise of one day picking up the reins again at the Hoops - and the stunning swoop has been given the Suarez seal of approval.
The former Barcelona frontman was part of the Liverpool side who came agonisingly close to ending their long wait for the EPL title under Rodgers in 2014.
And 36-year-old Suarez has told Record Sport he is convinced Celts are landing one of the top managers in Europe - who will feel right at home in the Champions League.
