TAYLOR Swift has called Scotland "a really special place" and plans to go on holiday here after her Eras Tour ends.
During her 2015 gig at the Glasgow Hydro, Taylor, 33, revealed her Scottish heritage and it was discovered she had links to William the Lion.
Now ahead of three huge gigs next year at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium, Taylor is speaking for the first time about her Scottish roots via both her parents, Scott, 71 and Andrea, 65.
The Pennsylvanian-born singer said: "Scotland is a really special place for me - last time I was there the crowd were amazing and I felt like we really connected. My dad is super proud of our Scottish heritage - he told me that pretty much most of our family can be traced back to Scotland so of course it's obviously very cool for me to get to perform there as part of the tour.
"I would love to have a vacation in a castle for a couple of nights.
"It might even be the perfect way to end my tour next year."
Taylor revealed her tartan heart in 2015 at her Glasgow gig telling the crowd she'd received an email from her dad before the show telling her to let them know her family were from Scotland.
A website which outlines the ancestry of famous people, famouskin.com, - connected the Swift family line to William the Lion, King of Scotland. And it appears the monarch of the House of Dunkeld is the 26th greatgrandfather of the pop superstar. Taylor also has Scottish heritage on her mother's side.
Taylor, who dated Scots DJ Calvin Harris, didn't play Scotland during her 2018 Reputation tour but hopes she can make it up to her Scots fans with her three gigs at Murrayfield from June 7-9.
