DEREK MCINNES says informing Brad Lyons of his Northern Ireland call-up was one of the best phone calls he's ever made.
Now the Kilmarnock boss wants to deliver good international news to more of his personnel as part of his Rugby Park revolution.
Lyons, 26, admits it was a "dream come true" to be named in Michael O'Neill's squad for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Slovenia and Kazakhstan.
McInnes said: "Brad's is one of the best phone calls I could make and one of the best he's probably had.
"He's such a proud Northern Irishman and he just missed out at various times through different youth levels as well.
"So when Michael let me know after the Celtic game he was going to be taking Brad in and said he was happy for me to let him know, it was a brilliant phone call.
