Parent tells how she was against Caroline's dates with older man

THE mum of a schoolgirl said to have been murdered 27 years ago "did not approve" of the relationship she had with one of her alleged killers.

Margaret McKeitch told jurors Caroline Glachan, 14, appeared "infatuated" with Robert O'Brien, who was around four years older.

She further claimed the teenager had told her O'Brien - known as Robbie had previously "given her a slap".

The 67-year-old was yesterday the first witness at the case at the High Court in Glasgow.
