A VIOLENT transgender prisoner branded one of the most dangerous cons in Scotland has died in jail.
Tiffany Scott, who was at the centre of a debate over biological men being housed in women's jails, passed away in HMP Grampian at the age of 32.
Last year, Scott failed in a bid to be moved to a female prison. It was blocked by the Scottish Government after a public outcry in the wake of the transgender prisoner row involving double rapist Isla Bryson, previously known as Adam Graham.
The death of Scott, formerly known as Andrew Burns, at Peterhead prison was revealed by the Scottish Prison Service. An update posted on the body's website said: "Tiffany Scott, 32, has died in prison on 29 Feb 2024. With each death in custody, Police Scotland are advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal. Fatal Accident Inquiries are held in due course."
