THE family of murder victim Claire Inglis made an emotional pilgrimage to Disneyland Paris to finally scatter her ashes in her "happy place".
And it was poignant too for Claire's boy Robbie, 10, who got to visit the theme park which his mum had enjoyed at the same age.
Claire's parents Fiona and Ian, sister Emma and Emma's partner, Declan, made up the party scattering her remains at the numerous locations which held a deep meaning for them.
Claire, 28, was murdered at her Stirling home by evil. Christopher McGowan, 28, in November 2021.
He was jailed for a minimum 23 years for abusing and torturing Claire to death.
The murder left friends and neighbours stunned and her heartbroken family have been picking up the pieces since.
Now, more than two years after her murder, the family have finally been able to honour Claire's memory.
Mum Fiona said: "We all needed this break to finally set her free. While it was heartbreaking, we had to make it a trip to remember for Robbie."
The family's planned trip was almost hampered when McGowan lodged an appeal against his sentence.
But his appeal was booted out at the Court of Appeal in Edinburgh just days before they set off, allowing them to breathe a sigh of relief.
