Wright never dreamed he'd hit 100 after injuries

WHAT A TON UP FOR THE BOOKS

JOE WRIGHT admits he could never have imagined becoming a Kilmarnock centurion when he checked into Rugby Park two-anda-half years ago.

The big defender is set to make his landmark 100th appearance for the club when they take on Motherwell at home tonight.

Wright's playing career was in doubt before he signed for the Ayrshiremen, having been sidelined for a year by knee and ankle injuries he sustained at the end of his five-season spell with Doncaster.

The 29-year-old has put those woes firmly behind him to become a mainstay in Derek McInnes' side.

Wright said: "It's definitely been a positive experience for me at the club.

"Coming here on the back of a bad injury, with quite a bit of uncertainty because of that injury, I'm really happy to rack up 100 games in quite a short period of time.
