THE Home Office has taken action amid fears Elon Musk's claims about government ministers could spark violence.
It is understood the X chief's tweets in recent weeks are being assessed to see if they are a danger to Britain.
The US billionaire's attacks, which Labour have said are unfounded, are being scrutinised by a government counter-extremism unit.
It is understood the Home Office has stepped up its monitoring of X, especially what is being said by people including Musk whose accounts have big followings.
A government source said: "We keep a close eye on how disinformation and hate can proliferate, including online."
