SNP to hold crisis summit in bid to end sickening attacks in our classrooms and playgrounds

AN emergency summit on school violence will be announced today by the Scottish Government in a bid to clamp down on classroom attacks. 

It comes after the Daily Record’s Our Kids... Our Future campaign highlighted growing concern over assaults on young people, with footage often posted on social media.

And last week we revealed there were nearly 14,000 violent incidents reported in schools in the last academic year.

Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth will announce the summit today during a Holyrood debate on youth violence – inviting the Daily Record, young people, parents and teachers to take part.
