AI 'to cut missed hospital trips'

AI HOSPITAL receptionists will be used to cut millions of missed appointments.

The futuristic tech will identify which patients are unlikely to turn up and automatically schedule backup appointments.

The artificial intelligence technology – already in use in Belgium and Japan – was announced by NHS England’s chief executive Amanda Pritchard.
