THEY cleared the snow and ice off the pitch but Liverpool still slipped up.
It may not be a costly trip up in the title race after rivals Arsenal dropped points.
But it was a missed opportunity to really steam clear at the top on an ice-cold Merseyside afternoon.
Especially when Mo Salah's penalty had completed a turnaround for the hosts against Manchester United.
At that point it felt like it was only going one way and that was Liverpool going eight points clear with a game in hand.
Instead, they had to settle for matching the Gunners' draw at Brighton to stay six points ahead.
Amad Diallo turned in a great pull-back from substitute Alejandro Garnacho to stun Anfield. Certainly a point gained for Ruben Amorim's struggling side, who many expected to come here and get thrashed.
This performance will restore a bit of belief that the Portuguese can turn United's sorry season around.
They're still well behind Liverpool, though, 23 points this season. This was the hosts well below their best.
