RUBEN AMORIM said this week that his move to Manchester United has become a "soap opera".

The Portuguese had better realise that the opening credits haven't even started rolling on the show that's coming.

Quite fitting maybe that Coronation Street is filmed just down the road from Old Trafford, then.

Whether he becomes yet another slapstick character in the latest episode of the United show remains to be seen.

Maybe he will become the hero of the piece.

But if he thinks the media spotlight this week is as over the top as Corrie then wait until he is a few games in if results don't go his way on the pitch.

If the last few weeks have proven anything, it is the thirst for drama at Old Trafford.
