Gladiator Holloway's last-second punch to floor rival is stuff of legends

MAX HOLLOWAY had every reason to down tools in the final 10 seconds of his epic fight with Justin Gaethje.

Comfortably ahead on the scorecards after four gruelling rounds, the former featherweight world champion was cruising to victory.

But instead he beckoned his rival to the centre of the cage for one final exchange.

To Gaethje's credit he accepted the challenge but nine seconds later he was face down on the canvas.

Holloway had swung as if his career depended on it and landed a stunning knockout just as the buzzer sounded.
