DAWID MALAN fed his hunger for success with a superb World Cup hundred to fire up England's tournament at the second time of asking.
The defending champions put Bangladesh away by a whopping 137 runs to banish the memory of their defeat by New Zealand in the opening match thanks to Malan's classy 140 and four of the best from left-arm paceman Reece Topley.
"I'm just hungry," said Malan, who missed out in the last two games of the T20 World Cup win with an injury. "Hungry to play and play well, hungry to score runs and win games of cricket for England.
"To miss out at the back end of that World Cup last year was one of the worst things ever, and to miss that final. Hopefully this one I can stay fit and we can play some good cricket and get into the business end.
