'It's a bad idea' passengers told

AN EASYJET pilot urged passengers not to fly to fire-ravaged Rhodes moments before take off, it is claimed.

The warning is said to have been given as the plane prepared to leave Gatwick for the Greek isle.

The pilot is said to have announced: "I don't know in what capacity you are travelling, but if you are travelling for leisure, my sincere recommendation is it's a bad idea." 

Eight of the 37 passengers on board the flight on Monday are reported to have got off.
