A PUBLICITY-shy man told the High Court a knee injury he suffered in Army training should have been kept private

He said reporting it was not in the public interest – and added he felt it would be an “injustice” if he lost his claim of alleged unlawful information gathering against MGN.

He said he would feel this about “a decision against me and any of the other people” bringing the case.

Asked by Andrew Green KC, for MGN, “So you want to have been phone hacked?”, the former royal replied: “No one wants to have been phone-hacked.”

He was asked about a 2005 report fellow officer cadets had complained he was let off “gruelling marches” with a knee injury.
