United refused to pay Tottenham £100m for Kane, as well as his £400,000-a-week wages, with the England skipper joining German champions Bayern Munich.
Instead, United signed rookie Rasmus Hojlund, 20, with Ten Hag standing by the decision, despite Kane's proven ability at the highest level.
