ALL INDIA PUNJAB National Bank Officers' Federation (AIPNBOF) has filed a writ petition in the Madras High Court against Punjab National Bank (PNB) alleging discrimination on the issue of perquisite tax on lease of houses.
According to the federation, PNB has decided not to deduct the perquisite tax on house leases for a section of employees who are members of the All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC).
In contrast, rest of the officers are mandated to bear the tax burden.
