32K people rescued in 950 operations this yr: SDRF

The state disaster response force (SDRF) rescued around 32,000 people in 950 rescue operations carried out by them in 2024, an official said.

DEHRADUN:

During this period, the SDRF personnel also handed over the bodies of 430 people, who died in different incidents, to the police and family members.

SDRF Commandant Arpan Yaduvanshi said, "Till date this year, our personnel rescued about 32,000 people in 950 rescue operations and about 430 bodies of those killed in various incidents were handed over to the police and family members."

He said the SDRF also played a key role in successful management of Char Dham yatra.
