LUCKNOW:

The 3.6-hectare area, designated for the rejuvenation of the Kukrail riverbed, has shown no significant progress, causing disappointment among residents and commuters.

The delay is due to the pending approval for government funds, stated LMC officials, adding that the proposal was submitted a month ago.

A zone 4 LMC official Shashi Kant, stated, "We submitted the proposal for funds a month ago and are expecting approval by next week," adding, "Once approval is granted, we will float tenders."

However, LMC officials were unavailable for comment on why the proposal was submitted only a month ago.
