According to wildlife experts, in the recent two to three months alone, spotting of leopard has been reported at about 10-12 times in Haridwar city, Haridwar rural, Bhagwanpur, Shyampur and Roorkee area. Leopard sighting has been so frequent that the forest department has installed iron cages to trap the big cats in more than six villages in Bhagwanpur block.
