A high court advocate close to the matter informed this saying the order was given on January 4 after a former ward councilor Roshni Khalkho filed a petition.
"Bench of Justice Ananda Sen had directed the state government to issue notification within three weeks on January 4 but so far the notification has not been issued," the high court advocate said.
Khalkho confirmed the fact saying she had now filed a contempt petition. "After the high court order in my writ petition on January 4 this year for issuance of notification, I filed a contempt petition after two months when the order was not complied. Following which the state government moved before the division bench filing an LPA. The same LPA was dismissed in November this year. Now the hearing started in my contempt petition. It was listed for hearing today but due to full court reference to give farewell to a judge it could not take up. Now I don't think the matter will be taken up this year as a contempt case as heard only on Fridays," she said, confirming the fact.
