The airport in Agatti island in Lakshadweep received the lowest number of flights during the April-November 2023, the lowest in eight years, according to Airports Authority of India (AAI) data. There were 1,080 aircraft movements during this period, compared to 1,482 in the same period in 2022 and 1,202 in 2021. The trend is similar in earlier years, except 2020, when travel and tourism was disrupted.
Aircraft movements are the number of times aircraft take off and land at an airport. One take-off and landing is considered as two aircraft movements.
