Man held for stabbing his 19-yr-old pregnant partner
Hindustan Times|January 14, 2024
Two days after a 19-year-old pregnant woman was found lying in a forested patch with multiple stab wounds, at Mayur Vihar in east Delhi, police on Saturday said they arrested her 21-year-old partner in connection with the case.

According to police, the man, a resident of the same neighbourhood, allegedly planned to kill the woman because she had been pressuring him to get married due to her pregnancy.

Additional deputy commissioner of police (east) Achin Garg, said the attack on the woman was pre-planned. "He was not accepting her claims (of pregnancy) and planned to kill her when she threatened to file a case against him. That the attack was preplanned was confirmed by the fact that he was carrying a screwdriver when he met the woman near the New Ashok Nagar Metro station on Wednesday around 9pm, the last time she was seen on CCTV cameras," said Garg.
