A complaint was made about each attack and reported on the Garda Pulse System.
A total of 51 cases were reported last year, 45 in 2021 and 31 in 2020.
But so far this year up until April 20 last a further 15 incidents of sexual assault in hospitals were recorded across the country.
The figures were released by Justice Minister Simon Harris in response to a parliamentary question from Sinn Fein TD Sorca Clarke.
