STARS gathered on a grey and cloudy day to say goodbye to one of the most colourful characters of the fashion world.
Some sombre clothing was on display at the memorial service for Dame Vivienne Westwood, who died in December aged 81.
But many mourners at London's Southwark Cathedral were dressed to the nines in her trademark tartan, spikes and sparkle yesterday.
Among them were Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Stormzy, Paloma Faith, Bianca Jagger, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Sir Bob Geldof, Dame Vanessa Redgrave, Christina Hendricks, Richard E Grant, Simon and Amber Le Bon, Chris Packham, Lily Cole and Bez.
The dress code for the rebel fashion designer's funeral on January 9 was "no underwear" but we will never know whether her memorial service attendees followed the same instruction.
Inside the cathedral, celebrities, family and friends were serenaded by Arnfield Brass, based near where Vivienne grew up in Tintwistle, Derbyshire.
They were then addressed by her second husband, and creative director, Andreas Kronthaler.
