SARAH Lancashire and the Happy Valley team had plenty to smile about last night after winning big at the National Television Awards.
The nail-biting final series won the Returning Drama prize, while Sarah, 58, who played no-nonsense police officer Catherine Cawood, won the Drama Performance prize and was also given the Special Recognition award.
But it was a sad night for Holly Willoughby and This Morning.
