Sinn Fein claims building ‘faults’ will delay plans

THE Taoiseach has hit back at Sinn Fein’s claims that new costs and delays at the National Children’s Hospital development will cost tens of millions more euro. 

The main opposition party’s leader, Mary Lou McDonald added that “this project has been mismanaged from the start”.

But Leo Varadkar dismissed her claims, slamming them as “an unhelpful distraction” and questioning “if what you’re informing me of is even accurate”.

Sinn Fein health spokesman, David Cullinane said sources told him that 11 of the 22 operating theatres will require extra work that could cost the taxpayer “tens of millions” more euro.
