Claims we were Wild drunk are simply not true

WILD Youth have addressed their controversial performance at the Ballygar Carnival and denied they were drunk on stage.

Ireland’s Eurovision entry had been booked to headline the festival in Galway but their performance caused controversy after they showed up late and numerous people at the gig called their behaviour “disrespectful”.

The band has now responded to claims made on social media that they were “too intoxicated to perform” slamming the accusations as “untrue”.

In the wake of the controversy, Ballygar Carnival released a statement, saying: “We would also like to confirm that no member of the committee had reason to believe that members of Wild Youth were too intoxicated to perform.”
